We’re just a bunch of racers with ties to the Greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area who share the same values, perspective, and competitive spirit. We love racing, but we don’t race for ego and we definitely don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Jag Off Racing is about camaraderie. It’s laughter in the paddock, shared tools, shared stories, and the belief that racing is as much about the people as it is about the cars. The weekends matter. The friendships matter. The stories last longer than the results.  This is what racing is supposed to be like.

What Is a Jag Off — and Why It Fits

“Jag off” is classic Pittsburgh slang. It’s often used to describe someone being a jerk, an idiot, or just generally annoying, but almost always in a teasing, good-natured way rather than with real hostility.

A jag off is someone acting foolish or obnoxious, depending on tone and context. Among friends, it’s more of an affectionate jab than an insult. A reminder not to take yourself too seriously.

The term is rooted deeply in Western Pennsylvania culture, coming from the verb to jag, meaning to poke, irritate, or mess with someone. It reflects the blue-collar humor and friendly roasting Pittsburgh is known for.

That’s exactly why Jag Off Racing fits. We’re competitive, but we keep each other in check. We laugh at ourselves, help each other out, and believe the best part of racing happens in the paddock, not just on the track.
