1967 Autodynamics MK IV Formula Vee

This 1967 Autodynamics Mk IV Formula Vee was acquired as a disassembled project and brought back to life through a ground-up effort completed in 2024. Purchased in pieces, the car was fully assembled by Garett Craig, who sourced missing components, completed the mechanical assembly, and refinished the car, returning it to a complete, race-ready configuration.

Period history for the car is limited, but it is believed to have served as a backup car for Sam Posey during its early competition life and to have run in events in the Bahamas. While this history remains unverified, it aligns with the car’s era and construction and is preserved as part of the car’s known lore rather than stated fact.

Rather than an over-restoration, the focus of the 2024 work was on correct assembly, functionality, and integrity, bringing the Mk IV back into active use while respecting its original design and purpose. Today, the car actively competes in vintage racing with the VRG, standing as a properly sorted early Formula Vee — not a display piece, but a machine returned to service after years off track.
