Chassis 22-F3-68 is a well-documented and highly competitive Lotus 22 with known period history and extensive modern vintage racing success. Built by Lotus in 1964, the car was originally campaigned in the UK by its first two owners, racing at circuits including Cadwell Park before later entering long-term vintage competition in the United States .
The car rides on its original chassis and has been fully restored and prepared by Graham Engineering & Motorsport, presented today in its original BMC Surf Blue livery. While period-correct in specification, it is equipped with a highly regarded Richardson engine, a well-known competitive upgrade within Formula Junior that enhances performance while remaining widely accepted at historic events .
22-F3-68 is a proven performer at premier events, earning the Rolex Cup at the 2017 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion after advancing from last to fifth place in a competitive Formula Junior field. Since restoration, the car has competed extensively at Laguna Seca, Lime Rock Park, Sonoma Raceway, and other major venues with an exceptional reliability record .
Fully race-ready and actively campaigned, the car is accepted internationally for Formula Junior competition and is eligible for events including Velocity Invitational, Lime Rock Historic Festival, Monterey Motorsports Reunion, and major Formula Junior races in Europe and the UK .
