1962 Lotus 23B (23-S-79)

One of the most successful Lotus 23s ever built, chassis 23-S-79 features fully documented provenance and significant period racing history. Imported new to Hong Kong by Harper Motors, it was driven by Albert Poon and scored multiple major victories, including the Singapore Grand Prix (1963 & 1964), Johore Grand Prix (1963 & 1964), and the 1964 Macau Grand Prix, all on demanding street circuits  .

Restored to correct Lotus 23B specification, the car is presented today in its original paint scheme and period-correct livery, recreated using period photography and Macau Grand Prix archives. The restoration retained historical integrity while updating safety where appropriate, with the original chassis included  .

Actively campaigned and meticulously maintained, 23-S-79 holds a current HMSA logbook and Historic Technical Passport, making it eligible for premier vintage events worldwide, including Lime Rock Historic Festival, Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Goodwood Revival, Silverstone Classic, and Velocity Invitational. The car is fully sorted, race-ready, and remains a proven crowd favorite wherever it appears
